Cooker fire breaks out at Blacon home

FIREFIGHTERS from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to deal with a cooker fire in a Blacon home on Monday, June 1.

But when the Chester crews arrived at the scene in Durham Road at about 4pm, the blaze was already out.

Two children were treated by North West Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation.

As the property had no smoke alarms, firefighters installed two of them at the home before leaving the area.
