Queen’s School sixth formers’ scientific success

SCIENTIFIC sixth formers at Chester’s Queen’s School have been recognised for their outstanding ability in biology.

Rebecca Shears and Ming-May Chung, both of Tarporley, took part in the British Biology Olympiad, which attracts entries from about 1,500 gifted students every year.

Ming-May was awarded a silver medal and Rebecca was highly commended.

Head of biology Claire Dillamore said: “Both girls attended extra curricular sessions which covered work beyond the A level syllabus. They really deserve their success.”

Ming-May plans to study medicine at Birmingham University and Rebecca will study biological sciences at Manchester University.
