City centre fight update: Two Chester men arrested after brawl

THREE men have been arrested and two were taken to hospital following a brawl in Chester city centre in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, May 20).

Police were called to Northgate Street at 3am after receiving reports that a group of men were fighting.

A 25-year-old man from Mold sustained a facial injury, and a 19-year-old male from Ellesmere Port received a minor head injury. Both were taken to the Countess for treatment.

Two Chester men, aged 22 and 23, along with a 31-year-old male from Widnes have been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Officers have cordoned off an area of Eastgate Street following the incident, where there is a small pool of blood and a broken glass bottle.
