Frodsham Festival of Walks is hailed big success by Town Council

FRODSHAM’S Festival of Walks this year was the most successful so far, with more than 200 residents and visitors turning out to enjoy a programme of 17 guided rural rambles.

Since its launch six years ago, the annual event, organised by Frodsham Town Council, has gone from strength to strength, offering a variety of outings to suit walkers of all ages, fitness levels and experience.

Footpaths Committee chairman, Cllr Graham Bondi, said this year’s festival from April 25 to May 4 was “definitely the most successful ever.”

“There were about 40 people on one of the walks and a big increase generally in the number of people taking part. All those who got back to us said the festival was marvellous and hoped it would continue, but we couldn’t do it without all our volunteer helpers.”
