Class works on show at Gateway

ART for Art’s Sake (AFAS) are staging an exhibition at the former Gateway Theatre.

Creations from art classes from across Chester can be viewed during performances of the comedy play A Funny thing happened on the way to the Forum.

The production is to be staged from May 7-16 (excluding Sunday, May 10) from 10.30am to 3pm.

AFAS exhibition organiser Lyn Lawrence said: “AFAS continues to press for the provision of a permanent visual arts centre for Chester.

“B&Q kindly donated, fitted and painted the exhibition boards and the Tesco, Frodsham Street store has contributed towards the refreshments.”
