Cheshire police renew warning to be on guard against cold callers

POLICE are once again warning residents not to give information to cold callers over the telephone.
Reports are being received that callers claiming to be from high street banks are asking for personal details so that bank errors can be corrected.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “The accents of these persons is described as Indian and telephone numbers trace back to India.
“I urge people to show caution and withhold information when receiving similar calls. Don’t give information to cold callers over the telephone.”
