Broxton car crash victim identified as 74-year-old Wrexham man

THE man who died following a car accident earlier today (Monday, April 20) was a 74-year-old from Wrexham, police have confirmed.

He passed away at the Countess of Chester Hospital late this morning but has not been named until all family members have been informed.

His car, a blue Nissan Primera, left the A534 at 8.40am this morning on the Wrexham side of the Broxton roundabout, close to the Egerton Arms public house.

No other vehicles were involved and no-one else was injured in the crash.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward by calling 0845 458 0000.
