Silver cup returned to King’s School.

AN ENGRAVED silver cup has been returned to the King’s School in Chester after being bought by a member of the public in a Wirral antique shop.

The cup was presented to the school at Chester’s Scout Gang show.

Duncan Ritchie, aged 12, of Chester, a pupil librarian, has done the research into its history and found the cup was originally awarded to DE Evans for winning the half mile handicap race at the school sports day held on April 4 1922.
