Duo open new business venture in former post office at Pontybodkin

TWO women have launched a new business venture in a village.

Wendy Sawyer, of Drury, and Carol Hobday, of Blacon, have taken over the empty post office at Pontybodkin.

Between them they hope to make the rural enterprise a success.

Wendy has relocated her business, Barndy Pet and Farm Supplies, from Llanfynydd Road to Pontybodkin, while Carol will run Barndy Groom Room – offering a range of dog grooming services – from the same premises.

Wendy said: “Although both businesses are separate, we will help each other out when necessary.”

Local county councillor Hilary Isherwood opened the new venture.
