Christleton Wednesday Group donates £2,700 to Friends of the Mulberry Centre

A COMMUNITY group has raised more than £3,000 for good causes.

Christleton Wednesday Group made a presentation of £2,700 to Friends of the Mulberry Centre on April 1.

The presentation took place at a fundraising lunch at the Parish Hall, opposite St James’ Church, Village Green, Christleton.

The group raised the money through several events including Christmas and spring lunches and a cake stall at Christleton fête.

The money will go toward a specially-adapted three-wheeler bike.

Members also raised £600 for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in memory of life-long member Pat Hodges who sadly died last year.
