Chester’s sixth annual Dragon Boat Race to take place in June.

THE sixth annual Chester Dragon Boat Festival will take place on Sunday, June 14, on the River Dee in Sandy Lane, Chester.

Teams will compete in the exciting spectacle, raising thousands of pounds for their chosen charities.

Expert tuition is given to all teams and safety is of paramount importance.

Chronicle-backed charity Miles of Smiles will enter at least one team this year.

Chairman Mick Hughes said: “We hope to reach the finals this time after losing out by a mere 10th of a second last year.”

For more information, call Julian Thursfield 07952 099950, visit www. chesterdragonboatfestival.co.uk or email Julian on chester@dragonboatevents.com. The deadline for entries is April 30.
