TV presenter Gail Porter reads Chester mum Julie Hanratty’s winning children’s story Munch and the Missing Moo on podcast

A MUM-OF-TWO from Chester has had her children’s story brought to life by TV presenter Gail Porter.

Julie Hanratty, of Chester city centre, won the competition – run by yoghurt maker Munch Bunch – to write a children’s story.

Julie was rewarded with a trip to Lapland with her family and an all-expenses-paid trip to London with her fiancé to see her winning story, Munch and the Missing Moo, read by Gail.

Julie said: “I couldn’t believe it when I found out that I had won, I am so excited that parents and kids up and down the country can hear my story for free.

“I was inspired to write Munch and the Missing Moo one night when I couldn’t sleep – and when I read it to my kids the next day they enjoyed it so much that I knew that I should enter.

“I actually think I was more excited about having a celebrity bring my story to life than about the trip to Lapland.”

The story is available as a podcast to listen to and download for free at www. munchbunch.co.uk after being voted one of the best by the child reviewers.
