Plans for 26 homes at former dairy in Cheshire

A FORMER dairy in Chester's countryside could be redeveloped to provide 26 homes.

The scheme has approval at Stretton Dairy on Stretton Hall Lane in Stretton, two miles from Farndon, for Bell Developments.

In 2006, detailed plans were agreed for a mixed commercial and residential development at the "vacant and visually blighted" commercial dairy on the edge of Stretton village, the centre of which is a conservation area, according to a report.

Councillors agreed the redevelopment scheme could have permission on a unanimous 13 - 0 vote.
