New Chester centre bike parking welcomed by cycle campaign

CHESTER Cycling Campaign has welcomed the new cycle parking installed outside the Wesley Centre in St John Street in Chester.

The stands provide secure parking for up to four bikes at this popular community venue right in the heart of Chester's city centre.

Simon Brown from the campaign said: “This is good news for cyclists - having secure cycle parking at your destination helps to create the right environment for people to consider cycling as part of their normal travel.

“These stands recently installed are already being used by visitors to this centre - we hope to see many more in the future at useful locations in all parts of the city.

“We welcome any suggestions for locations for cycle stands at our recently launched Cycle City website: www.chestercyclecity.org.

“We will pass these on to the Chester Cycle Demonstration Town project team.”
