A PRIMARY school’s catering team has received a TV makeover at the second time of asking.
The group of five – catering supervisor Mary Siddall, assistant Sally Johnson, Barbara Laue, Emma Blain and Janet Welch – had been due to take part in the stylish event two weeks beforehand.
But, as reported in last week’s Chronicle, the planned journey to London for their appearance on ITV’s This Morning programme was scuppered due to heavy snowfall in the south.
The catering team’s makeover was rescheduled and cook Emma said they were delighted at the results.
Emma said: “The event was fantastic, it was really good. We were chauffeur-driven to the studios.
“Our hair was done by stylist Charles Worthington, and we learned if the hairstyling work was done elsewhere, it would have cost us £800.
“We also received new outfits, which had come from top high street retailers, and mine was worth £500.
“The staff behind the scenes were lovely and welcoming. We also met Eamonn Holmes and his wife Ruth Langsford, which was brilliant.”
The group was also thrilled to meet studio guest Declan Donnelly.
