Chester firm delivers parcel to President Barack Obama

PRESIDENT Barack Obama has received a special delivery from Chester.

Mail Boxes Etc in Hunter Street was commissioned by a private client to send a framed picture to the new President of the USA.

Marketing and sales executive Richard Tallis said: “Throughout the company’s eight-year history, we have provided a pick-up, packing and delivery service for a variety of items including the largest tea pot in the world, grandfather clocks and the old Wembley substitute bench, but none quite measure up to sending this painting to the President.”

The company was contacted in January by an individual, who wishes to remain anonymous, who had been in contact with the US Embassy in London, about sending the painting to President Obama.

Using the company’s online tracking facility, the package was monitored door-to-door and delivered next day in the US to the White House.
