Chester woman driver fights for life after collapsing at the wheel

A WOMAN motorist is fighting for her life in hospital after it is believed she crashed on collapsing at the wheel.

The 40-year-old, from Upton, was driving a silver Ford Fiesta in Barkhill Road, Vicars Cross, at 7am on Wednesday when the vehicle lost control.

It was involved in a collision with a wall. The driver is currently in a serious condition at Walton Hospital, Liverpool, suffering from a haemorrhage exacerbated by head injuries resulting from the accident.

Police said the car came to a rest “perched” on the wall and that no other vehicles were involved.
