BOXES of health and hygiene goods left Frodsham as part of an international aid project in Uganda.
Kings Church, Frodsham, and the charity Just Care set up the joint project in December to collect enough medical goods to fill a ship container.
Supplies were taken to the Wellspring Children’s Medical Centre, Masaka, and Kitovu Hospital.
Rachel Sinclair of charity group Just Care said: “The response from the community has been excellent and as a result the container has now been filled with all of the vital equipment that was needed.
“Special thanks go to the public of Frodsham, Helsby, Kingsley and surrounding areas for their generosity in providing so many excellent health and hygiene goods; Tesco supermarket, Helsby, for allowing us to collect goods at their store; the volunteers from Kings Church and others who helped pack the goods.
She added: “We’d also like to thank Walton Centre for neurology and neurosurgery NHS Trust, GPs and other health professionals.”
