Frodsham branch members of the RNLI raise £1,400 forHoylake lifeboat station

A HOTPOT supper at Frodsham Community Centre raised £1,400 toward a new lifeboat for the RNLI in Hoylake.

More than 150 people attended the event, which featured a talk from Captain Robin Woodall, former master of the cruise ship the QE2. John Lloyd, secretary of the Frodsham branch of the RNLI and a member of the Hoylake lifeboat station fund raising group, said: “It was one of the best nights we have ever had. Captain Woodall’s talk went down very well, I didn’t think he was ever going to get of the stage.

“We raised £400 more than last year, despite the credit crunch, so it’s is great to know people still support us.”

The hotpot supper was held at the Frodsham Community Centre.
