Chester MP Christine Russell joins Garden Lane Methodist Church coffee morning fundraiser for Claire House Hospice
PARISHIONERS and dignitaries helped brew up funds for charity at a church coffee morning.
The event – in aid of Claire House Hospice – was organised by Garden Lane & Whipcord Lane Methodist Churches and held at the Garden Lane church on February 7.
The fundraiser was supported by MP Christine Russell, city councillor Janet Black as well as members of the Garden Quarter community, raising £134. Hospice fundraiser Abby Smith spoke to visitors about the facility’s work. MP Russell said: “Events such as these are a great way of keeping community spirit alive.”
