ELLESMERE Port Hospital is having to enforce visiting restrictions due to a highly infectious winter vomiting bug.
A surge in cases of norovirus on the Ruby and Diamond wards also means the hospital is unable to accept new admissions.
A Western Cheshire PCT spokeswoman said: “The situation is being kept under constant review.
“The rest of the hospital is operating normally but staff are asking people to keep away if they feel at all ill.”
