Tattenhall Park Primary School children visit Yess yoghurt factory
TATTENHALL Park Primary school said yes to a trip to a yoghurt factory.
The pupils were invited by Daisy Fresh Foods after the children took part in a competition to design posters to promote its Yess yoghurt.
The winners were Trinity Cummings and Billy McCorkill, both six, who had the chance to make their own yoghurt.
The winning posters will appear in schools across the county.
The company was awarded the contract to supply the yoghurt to Cheshire’s 300 schools.
Marketing and sales co- ordinator Suzanne Lunt said: “The visit went really well the children got to see all stages of making the yoghurt. They then had a go at making up some of their own flavours – in the end we ended up with a lot of chocolate yoghurt.”
Tattenhall Park Primary headteacher Laura Noble said: “We were thrilled to form this connection with Daisy Fresh Foods, and we jumped at the chance for our children to design the posters.
“It is a fantastic way of helping children understand about business, design and manufacturing.
“We are hoping this will become an annual thing.”
