A hoax caller who made a bomb threat to Iceland in Chester has confessed to 16 more calls.

A HOAX caller who told supermarket staff there was a bomb in their store has confessed to 16 more calls.

Police cordoned off the area around Iceland, Frodsham Street in Chester on Wednesday and evacuated staff after one call.

On Friday, Paul William Jones, 29, of Oswestry was arrested. When he appeared before Chester Magistrates Court on Saturday charged with three offences of falsely communicating a bomb threat, Jones asked that a further 16 identical offences be taken into consideration. He was remanded in custody to appear before Chester Magistrates Court for commital to Crown court on March 13.
