It’s seasonal fun all the way for primary pupils

PUPILS of Highfield Community Primary School, Blacon, enjoyed a very busy and festive week, both in and out of school.

After taking part in the Blacon Christmas Parade on December 10, children from the nursery class entertained parents and families during their Nativity play.

This was followed by a visit to Florence Grogan House to spread some Christmas cheer when members of the school choir entertained residents with carols.

Headteacher Stephanie Raynor said: “The Nativity play is always a special time for parents and the nursery children brought the house down with their special version of the Hokey Cokey called the Reindeer Pokey.

“The visit to Florence Grogan house was just as successful; both residents and children had a lovely time, and we are always keen to forge links with the wider community.”
