Chester toy inventor, aged seven, needs your votes

A SEVEN-year-old Chester toy inventor needs your votes.

Keane Harrison of Vicars Cross has had one of her designs short-listed in Argos’ Toy of the Future contest. The competition is now on-line for a public vote, closing on Christmas Eve.

The national competition was looking for original and imaginative designs that could be put into production for next year’s Christmas catalogue. The toys had to be suitable for 6-10 year olds and to be retailed at £20 or less.

Oldfield Primary School pupil Keane’s eye-catching design for a “Bubble Hat” appealed to the judges, who said: “Everyone loves bubbles - they are beautiful and fun - and great to get good friends playing together.”

If “Bubble Hat” wins, Keane will get £500 of Argos vouchers. She is already looking forward to spending these on a bedroom makeover and presents for her friends and her little sister

The final 10 designs can be found at www.argostoycompetition.co.uk where you can vote for your favourite.
