Switch-on hits right note
CHESTER’S Garden Quarter came alive on Saturday evening as the community turned out to celebrate the switching on of the Christmas lights.
Entertainment was provided by children from St Thomas of Canterbury Junior School, students from the University of Chester, women’s choir A Handbag of Harmonies and actors from Theatre in the Quarter’s Christmas production of Silent Night.
Carers and family brought residents from Stone House Residential Home on Cheyney Road to enjoy the festive fun which was performed on a lorry on the corner of Garden Lane and Bouverie Street.
Events continued at The Bouverie with a gig featuring A Handbag of Harmonies and Safe House.
