Pupils have healthy outlook on food

HEALTHY eating was the order of the day at Elton Primary School.

Youngsters aged four to 11 cooked up a treat during a Junior Chefs’ Academy workshop led by chef Paul Cooper.

The children – dressed in an individually named chef’s hat – each made their own summer pudding,

Headteacher Sue Moorcroft said: “It was absolutely stunning. The two-day event was extremely well organised and Paul had the children in the palm of his hand.

“He talked about healthy eating and different types of fruits and food groups.

“One parent described it as the most worthwhile thing that she has ever given money towards.”
