Frodsham Christmas Festival declared a triumph

FRODSHAM Christmas Festival was hailed a “spectacular success” by organisers, who said a record number of visitors joined in last weekend’s seasonal celebrations.

The community’s permanent attractions were enhanced by a programme of festive family entertainment – and top of the list for youngsters was visiting Father Christmas in his Castle Park grotto, and watching him parade through the town on his reindeer-drawn sleigh.

Shops stayed open late, and visitors browsed potential gifts on offer at a craft fair in the park and sampled local food produce on offer at stalls in Eddisbury Square.

Vale Royal’s lead councillor for recreation, rural and culture, John Grimshaw, said: “I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who organised and attended the event and helped to make it the triumph it undoubtedly was.

“The festival is a wonderful success for the community and continues to put Frodsham on the map.”
