FATHER Christmas is trading reindeer for the timelord’s Tardis at Lady Heyes Craft Centre in Frodsham on Saturday at a family fun day.
The lifesize model of Dr Who’s iconic blue police phone box has been on display at The Rock Shop at the centre and has so far raised more than £5,000 for the Christie Hospital in Manchester.
Dr Who fan Stephen Kelleher built the Tardis in memory of his brother- in-law Stephen Kinsella, who died of cancer, and it has proved a hit with children, families and fans.
He said: “We’re hoping Father Christmas and the Tardis will be quite a combination and lots of people will come along to support the charity.
“I’d like to say a big thank you to all those who are making this possible, particularly my neighbours Bob and Ilse who have worked so hard to pull things together.”
The free fun day will feature festive mulled wine and German stollen cake, an appearance from Bob Carolgees with Spit the Dog and a harpist.
