Pranksters set off fire alarm in block of Chester flats

PRANKSTERS maliciously set fire alarms off in a block of flats late last night (Sunday, November 30).

Cheshire Fire Service sent three appliances and an aerial platform to Plas Dinas Flats, Blacon, following reports of smoke billowing out of a tenth floor window at about 11pm.

A spokesman said: “A report was that there was smoke coming out of a tenth floor window. When the crews arrived we quickly made our way to the eighth floor and set up. It turned out to be a malicious false alarm.”
