Bag-snatcher attacks woman in Hoole

A BAG-snatcher made off with a leather holdall containing a purse and a mobile phone in Hoole.

The female victim was walking along Lightfoot Street, Hoole, Chester, at about 8.30pm on Saturday, November 29, when a man grabbed her bag and ran away.

Cheshire Police spokesperson Shelley Williams said: “The offender, described as a white male, about 5’10” tall and dressed in dark clothing and a woolly hat, grabbed a business type black leather holdall from the victim and ran off in the direction of Philip Street.

“The holdall contained a number of valuable personal items including a mobile phone and purse. The victim chased the man on foot for a short distance before losing sight of him in Philip Street.”
