Scrooge David lets his halo slip

HAMMOND School student David Edwards has gone from angel to humbug in just four months.
David, 15, who played the Angel Gabriel in the 2008 Chester Mystery Plays, is showing another side of his character as he takes on the role of Scrooge in the drama department’s production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
The Dickens tale of the real spirit of Christmas will be the first production by the lower school drama students in the school’s new performing arts centre.
The performance by the school’s HB2 Theatre Company is on tonight (Friday, November 28) and tomorrow, Saturday, November 29. Tickets at £10 (£5 concessions) are available from the box office on 01244 305362.
