Two Chester people arrested for child neglect

TWO people have been arrested for child neglect and a toddler has been placed in the care of social services following a call from a member of the public.

Police spokeswoman Shelley Williams said: “We attended a house in Chester on the evening of November 24 and removed a 3-4 year old child who was found at the address.

“Two people, a 62-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man local to the Chester area, were arrested for child neglect and interviewed by police.

“They will appear at Chester Magistrates Court on January 7, 2008.”
