Pupils develop writing skills as part of Chester Literature Festival

PUPILS of four Blacon primary schools have been getting together to learn and be creative.

Accompanied by author Margaret Bateson-Hill, children took part in a literature- writing workshop at St Theresa’s Primary School, where children learned how to write masterpieces of their own as part of the Chester Literature Festival.

Headteacher Nicola Kirkman said: “It was a really good opportunity for the children to work with an author and see how stories are put together.

“Telling stories is also an excellent stimulus to get the children writing tales of their own and it was a real thrill for them to be part of the festival.”
