Hub is the centre of attraction

TEENAGERS should get right to the hub of Chester.

Chester Hub is a youth centre in Cuppin Street offering workshops in of arts and crafts including drama, photography, music, card-making and graffiti art.

Davey Leaning is the new arts development co-ordinator for the centre and is keen to raise its profile.

He said: “We’re trying to encourage more young people to come into town and to use the Hub. We are a bit hidden from the main Grosvenor Road and people don’t always know we are there.

“We’ve got a new autumn and winter schedule with all sorts of activities including recording your own CD, playing in a band and learning how to help organise gigs.

“All of the sessions are regular, weekly and free so The Hub is a fantastic resource for young people.”

Workshops are open to anyone aged 13-19 who can just drop in or stay as long as they like.
