Appeal for witnesses after attack on OAP in Ness

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was attacked on Sunday, November 2.

The 64-year-old man was walking along Well Lane in Ness when he was struck on the head with an object.

The man was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital where he was treated for head and facial injuries.

Police spokeswoman Shelley Williams said: “A 45-year-old male has been arrested and released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
