Chester TV and Sky cables being cut by scammers

HOMEOWNERS in the College ward area of Chester have had their TV and Sky cables cut by cold call scammers.

Inspector Mel Williams of Chester police said: “These incidents have only been reported to the Police the following morning which leads us to believe that the damage was caused in the early hours.

“It is possible that it could have been caused by persons wanting to drum up some business for themselves by carrying out repairs. If you are the victim of such a crime and are approached for a “company” offering to do the repairs on a cold call basis please let us know on 0845 458000.
