RNLI pushes the boat out

THE Mersey is only a distant view but villagers were quick down the slipway when their branch of the RNLI held its annual bazaar.

Kelsall Community Centre became a lifeboat shop for the event with something for everyone on offer from RNLI bags for life, craft stalls and souvenirs to Christmas gifts and cards, tombola and the excitement of the raffle.

For those still afloat at lunchtime, refreshments were available ahead of more retail therapy.

The branch launches its next fundraiser with a concert on Saturday, November 29 when the Brymbo Male Voice Choir will anchor at the community centre alongside Waverton Handbell Ringers.

Tickets are £10 to include a glass of mulled wine.
