Iron Max is ready for the off

THE first syndicate horse bought by Cheshire’s Deva Racing makes his debut tomorrow (Saturday, November 8).

Iron Max will run in red and blue silks at Wolverhampton racecourse.

The colt is part of a growing string of horses syndicated by Deva Racing, based at Michael Owen’s Manor House Stables on the Cheshire/Shropshire border.

Trainer Nicky Vaughan has an excellent record at the Wolverhampton track.

Nicky said: “Iron Max is a real character and stable favourite who enjoys a pick of grass and roll in the sand pit after a hard mornings exercise.

“The owners of Iron Max are all based in the North West and they are able to visit the stable to see the horse on the gallops whenever they want.”

Max will have a substantial following on Saturday with more than 30 owners, friends and family going along to cheer him home.

Racing manager of Deva Racing, Mike Foster, said: “It’s really exciting for the owners to have their first runner. Max is a great little horse and a real character.

“Nicky Vaughan and the team at Manor House have done a great job with him, allowing him to develop at his own pace.”
