Nursery project expands

A POPULAR day nursery has expanded.

The Spinney Day Nursery on Warrington Road, Hoole Village, was founded in 1997 by John and Alison Thomson who had 30 years of teaching experience between them.

Since then it has grown to offer 36 places in a family setting and after school and holiday clubs.

Now, it has opened a second nursery in Handbridge House on the Bell Meadow Business Park on Chester Road in Pulford.

The nursery has room for 96 children but Mr Thomson says the intention will be to operate with far fewer youngsters, probably 45, to continue to offer a family atmosphere and the best possible care.

The nursery is open from 7.30am to 6.30pm and bookings can be made for full or half days.
