Student Emma tots up more exam success

CHESTER student Emma Hill is celebrating even more examination success.

Emma, currently studying AS-levels in biology, chemistry, physics, maths and further maths in the sixth form at Queen’s Park High School in Handbridge, has found out she was among the highest scoring candidates in this year’s GCSE mathematics examination.

Emma sat the GCSE mathematics exam this summer and, out of 285,777 candidates across the country, she recorded one of the top 10 scores.

Jerry Jarvis, the examining board’s managing director, said: “This is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the hard work students put into preparing for their exams. We send our congratulations to Emma.”

Headteacher Andrew Firman said: “We are extremely proud of Emma. She worked very hard to achieve outstanding results. I am sure she will repeat this success at A-level in our sixth form.”
