Open night at sixth form

YEAR 12 and Year 13 students are looking forward to the sixth form open evening at Bishop Heber High School in Malpas on Wednesday, October 22.

After the best AS results yet at the school, when most students attained at least a grade higher than they were predicted, students are preparing their university applications.

Year 12 students are settling in well and enjoyed their induction course at the Conway Centre, Menai.

A group of students will visit Oxford University this week to explore the opportunities open to them. This is the first of many visits available to students in researching information on higher education and courses available.

After excellent GCSE results, students have high aspirations which they hope to achieve with the ongoing support and guidance of staff at the school.

The new head of sixth form, Gemma Dodd, said: “The Heber Sixth Form is entering an exciting time. After excellent GCSE and AS results in the summer, students’ aspirations and expectations are high and staff are working hard to support students to achieve such results.”
