Cheshire West council boss begins his new role

CHESHIRE West and Chester Council’s first chief executive, Steve Robinson, began work yesterday (Wednesday, October 1).

Taking up the reigns of leadership, Steve said: “I am delighted to join the team of Cheshire West and Chester at this exciting time.

“Already I can tell that excellent progress has been made to facilitate the delivery of services on 1 April. It will by my challenge now to ensure the ambitious goals of the council’s Executive are achieved in the coming months.

“I am confident that the authority we are building will deliver services effectively and efficiently so residents will benefit from having a single high-achieving council looking after their needs.”
