Chester family evacuated from hob fire drama

A FAMILY from Hoole was evacuated from their home after a plastic container was left on a lit hob.
The mother and two children were alerted to the kitchen fire after their fire alarm went off at about 11.30am on Friday, September 12.
A Cheshire fire service spokesman said: “Someone had accidentally left a plastic container on top of the hob and inadvertently lit the wrong ring. We used a positive pressure ventilation to ventilate the property. There was a large amount of smoke.”
Nobody was injured.
