A STUDENT from Chester is using eBay to sell his most valuable possession – his soul.

Gareth Ellis 18, a student from Sir John Deane’s College, Northwich, is selling his soul on eBay to raise money so he doesn’t need a part-time job when he begins his Drama Degree at Goldsmiths University in September.

The item “One Untarnished Human Soul” is on eBay at a starting price of £150 and Gareth hopes to make a small fortune on his most prized possession.

The owner to the deeds of Gareth’s soul will receive a certificate along with a personal letter written by Gareth who lives in Huntington.

Gareth explained: “My first thought was that my soul is the most valuable possession that I own, so why not sell it on bay? It began as a practical joke but realistically I do hope that it sells. ”

Bidding will close on September 3 and Gareth has high hopes that within this time the word will spread and someone will take up the offer.
