Mr Davidson said: “Students of all abilities have approached their GCSE examinations with considerable energy and determination, and teaching staff have provided excellent support and guidance. The results achieved reflect the hard work and dedication which we have seen over the past five years.

This year’s A-C pass rate is up on 2007 and, for the third consecutive year, we have beaten our previous best. Our overall A*-G pass rate has also improved and the average points score per students is up by 12% on last year.”
