New HQ is shaping up
THIS is the first aerial view of what is set to become Chester’s most iconic building.
The picture – taken by The Chronicle from a helicopter – shows the former Cheshire police HQ site being transformed by an £80m doughnut-shaped steel structure enjoying magnificent views over The Roodee.
With 250,000 sq ft of office space, the development will also feature a luxury hotel with signature restaurants and a range of apartments and penthouses built around a central piazza.
The residential aspect of the project will feature one, two and three-bedroom apartments, with penthouses taking centre stage.
The apartments will boast extensive glazing throughout to make the most of the views. Cutting-edge technology will include “wet” panel widescreen TV in the bathrooms, automatic lighting control systems, air conditioning and in-wall vacuum systems.
