Military display attracts the crowds

THE Roman army were recruiting child soldiers at Beeston Castle last weekend.

The youngsters, dressed in replica helmets and body armour, fought off a troop of barbarians at the Children's Roman Army Day organised by Chester's Roman Tours.

There was a military camp display and an exotic dance display by Ya Raqs, a Chester and Wirral based dance group.

Beeston Castle is hosting a Medieval Knight's trail from August 26 - 31. Join the treasure trail to find the knights and win a prize.
