Hands-on approach to past

PUPILS from Highfield Primary School got a feel for history when they learned about ancient Egypt.

Year 4 children from the Blacon school visited the World Museum in Liverpool. They were able to handle 5,000-year-old artefacts and complete an Egyptian discovery trail.

Teacher Sue Meehan said: “It was a fabulous experience for the children and it really brought to life all the work they had done.

“The handling session was the highlight of the day and I would like to thank Helen Halliwell at the museum for all her help and for making it an exciting experience for myself and my class.”
