Youngsters club together for fun

CRAFT, games, drama and story-telling made for a successful village holiday club.

The Sneaky Stories club at St Boniface Church in Bunbury attracted 55 primary school aged children for three days of fun.

Holiday club leader Debbie Shears said: “We run these clubs at Easter and during the first week of the summer holidays. One child who hadn’t been before asked when was the next one and then suggested we should do one at Christmas!”

The club had a Biblical theme with activities based on the stories of Jacob and Esau.

It was led by Johnny Gillet, who used to be the parish youth worker, and the youngsters enjoyed a drama performance presented by teenagers in the parish.

Parents and children celebrated the holiday club with a midweek service and barbecue.
